John 14:9 “Jesus *said to him, “Have I been so long with you, and yet you have not come to know Me, Philip? He who has seen Me has seen the Father;

To know that Jesus fully represents the Father's nature and character means we never have to wonder what God is like and what God is willing to do for His sons and daughters. I see from the Gospels that Jesus stilled the storm that arose on the sea; He didn't cause the storm. I see that Jesus laid hands on people everywhere He went and healed them of their diseases; He never once laid hands on people and gave them a sickness. He always brought release and freedom to individuals who were bound and oppressed by demonic powers; He never made use of the devil to do damage to people.

It is important for all to understand that, as the writer of the book of Hebrews said, “The Son reflects God’s own glory, and everything about him represents God exactly” (Hebrews 1:3 NLT). It is crucial to let the authors of the Scriptures teach us about the nature of God, instead of those who have embraced a Platonic view of God. Read the Gospel accounts of the life, death, burial and resurrection of Jesus to get a good, rather, the best understanding of the God that we worship.
